The Transurfing Technique That Transforms Struggle Into Flow
Reality Transurfing and the Alternatives Flow
Let Go to Flow: The Transurfing Secret to Effortless Success
Have you ever felt like you were pushing against an invisible force, trying to force things to happen, only to be met with more resistance? Maybe it’s in your career, your relationships, or even your health. You take action after action, you strategize, you try harder—but nothing moves the way you want it to.
If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone. Many of us have been conditioned to believe that success comes from control—controlling outcomes, controlling other people, and controlling ourselves into submission. But what if I told you that the real secret isn’t control at all, but surrender?
From Force to Flow
The Shift from Force to Flow
Reality Transurfing, a concept introduced by Vadim Zeland, challenges our traditional way of approaching life. Instead of pushing against reality, we learn to shift into alignment with it—allowing events to unfold naturally while still playing an active role in choosing our path.
Recently I came across this quote from Vadim in my Readwise.
"By giving up your control over the scenario, you have it returned to you only this time control is aimed at going with the alternatives flow rather than fighting against it." – Vadim Zeland, Reality Transurfing I-V
Let’s break this down. When we try to control everything—when we grasp tightly, forcing situations to fit our expectations—we actually lose power. Life becomes a series of battles, and we rarely win. However, when we let go of the need to control every detail, something magical happens. The very control we wanted returns to us, but in a different way—it’s now aligned with the natural flow of reality rather than against it.
But how do we actually apply this?
A Personal Story of Flowing with Life
I’ll never forget when I first learned this lesson the hard way. At one point in my career, I had been working tirelessly to build something meaningful. I had a vision, a plan, and a strong work ethic. But despite my efforts, doors kept closing. Every step felt like I was climbing uphill, carrying a weight too heavy for me to bear.
I was exhausted, frustrated, and questioning everything. I was engaging in what I thought were "necessary evils"—doing things I didn't love, because I believed they were the only way to reach my goals.
Inside the same Readwise Email I came across this quote from one of my mentor’s Matthew David Hurtado:
"The reason people struggle and go uphill is that they try and do things without changing who they are BEING first. And, they continue to engage in low-vibration activities that they deem ‘necessary evils’ to get what they desire. The problem is; you can't get there from here—it’s a dead-end street." – Matthew David Hurtado, Ask Until It Is Given
I realized that I was trying to force external change without shifting my internal state first. My mindset was still stuck in struggle mode. I believed I had to fight for success, that I had to grind to prove myself, and that hard work alone would take me where I wanted to go. But it wasn’t working.
Then, something shifted.
The Power of Being Over Doing
The Power of BEING Over Doing
I started to focus less on doing and more on being. Instead of chasing outcomes, I asked myself:
Who am I being as I pursue this goal?
Am I aligned with the energy of ease, flow, and confidence—or am I stuck in doubt and resistance?
Am I engaging in actions that truly align with my highest self, or am I forcing things that don’t feel right?
The moment I let go of my tight grip on how things should unfold, everything changed. I started making decisions that felt aligned. I focused on the activities that resonated with me rather than those I thought I had to do. And just like that, opportunities that I had previously struggled to create started appearing effortlessly.
It was almost as if the universe had been waiting for me to stop forcing so it could start delivering.

Apply this to Your Life
How You Can Apply This to Your Life
If you find yourself constantly struggling, trying to force things into place, consider these steps:
1. Recognize Where You’re Fighting Against the Flow
Where in your life are you pushing too hard? Where do you feel the most resistance? Identify the areas where things feel unnecessarily difficult, and ask yourself if you’re trying to control the uncontrollable.
2. Shift from ‘Doing’ to ‘Being’
Ask yourself: Who would I be if I already had the outcome I desire? Would I be more relaxed? More confident? More at peace? Start embodying that version of yourself now, rather than waiting for external circumstances to change first.
3. Let Go of ‘Necessary Evils’
Many people continue engaging in actions they don’t enjoy, believing they are essential for success. But if something drains your energy and doesn’t align with your highest self, it’s likely holding you back. Instead, trust that there is another way—one that feels aligned and energizing.
4. Trust the Alternative Flow
There are multiple paths to your desired outcome. If one isn’t working, instead of forcing it, step back and allow a new, unexpected path to reveal itself. You’ll be surprised how often life has an easier, more natural way to get you where you want to go.
The Alternatives Flow and Transurfing
The Bottom Line
Reality Transurfing teaches us that the most powerful way to navigate life isn’t through force, but through flow. By surrendering control in the traditional sense, we actually gain control—but in a way that aligns with the natural rhythm of life rather than fighting against it.
So, the next time you find yourself struggling, pushing, and forcing, remember:
You don’t have to swim against the current to reach the shore. Sometimes, the fastest way forward is to let go, trust the flow, and allow yourself to be carried to exactly where you’re meant to be.
